I’m talking about the little tires I carry with me around my waist everywhere I go. My calorie-centered diet and sedentary lifestyle have everything to do with these unwanted layers but as to when they settled there, I’m not too clear. What I know for sure is that there is a clear difference between me when I started blogging and me today. Clearly, years of sitting at my computer for hours on end on a daily basis have taken their toll.

The impact of being overweight in my blogging career

Along with the extra pounds came a decline in my output despite the 10-hour shifts I was putting in. I was not the fresh blogger full of zest I once was. Alarmed by these unwelcome developments, I drew a line in the sand (I really did!) and set out to look for a way to regain my lither self without surrendering the thing I love most- blogging.

Now I’m not a gym person; lifting anything heavier than my laptop is a no-no for me. So I opted for a trip to a local dietician. What I gained from that five minute jaunt really has revolutionized my existence. Not only have I discarded a significant amount of fat, my metabolism rate has skyrocketed to unprecedented levels; all in just a couple of weeks. I’m sure you’re curious as to the mechanics behind this little miracle. Well here they are.

How portion control meals increased my energy and productivity

According to my trusty dietician, all I needed to do was reduce the quantities I heaped on my plate every mealtime. I started by cutting down the size of my servings by a quarter and took it up to half two weeks later. The funny thing is that with time I even forgot that I was on a diet, yet my intake had dropped significantly and I had even began feeling lighter. I guess this was because I was still eating my favorite dishes, only much less of them.

This is not to say that it was all plain sailing. You will also find it difficult initially to go through with your diet, I guarantee you that. But the key is not to give up, and instead of thinking of food, immerse yourself in your passion and blog your hunger pangs away. If you don’t have a clue where to find a dietician, you can get a tailor-made diet for yourself from DiettoGo or Bistro MD online.

The importance of movement and 3 exercises you can do from your desk

Being an almost obsessive blogger myself, I fully understand if the idea of taking hours off from your computer to head to the gym turns you off. Luckily, I found some simple exercises that can be done at your convenience right at your workstation. In fact you can do them as the outline of your next article takes shape in your head. No need for track suits and sweat towels. Ready? Here we go.

Leg extensions. Turn your chair away from your desk and find space to stretch your legs in front of you. Curl both your legs under your seat. From this position, stretch your left leg out as straight as you possibly can and curl your toes towards you while keeping your right leg in position under your chair. After holding that posture for as long as you can, repeat the motion this time stretching out your right leg and keeping the left folded. If you can do 15 repetitions for each leg that would be fantastic.

Leg tractions. Pull away from your desk and stretch your legs out such that they are parallel to the floor. Next, bring your right knee up towards your chest and grab your ankle, pulling the leg as far back as you can. Hold for two seconds and then restore the leg to its straight position. Repeat the motion with your left leg. After each leg has stretched 10times, you should be good to go to the next exercise.

Seated run. This one is a little similar to a run through the park; while seated in your normal posture with both feet flat on the floor, alternately raise your legs, keeping the knees bent to simulate a running motion. Instead of letting your hands droop, involve them in the movement. Keep them bent at the elbows beside you just as you would if you were actually jogging. Also don’t let your feet just drop to the floor, keep the movement as tight as possible. Do this for one minute, take a break for a minute and repeat again for another minute.

For all the above movements, it is important that you keep your breathing regular and avoid holding your breath. Do the above exercise routine once a day, gradually increasing the reps and time and combine it with a portion-control diet. You will notice obvious results after a few weeks, both in terms of your physical strength, weight loss and productivity as a blogger.

There’s always that one mom in the playgroup that just makes the rest of us feel like we’re not green enough – you know who I’m talking about. Her kids only wear clothes manufactured from sustainably harvested, fair-trade hemp. Her mini-van runs on used vegetable oil. When it’s her turn to provide the weekly snack, she brings veggies picked fresh from the garden growing underneath her solar panels. Most annoying of all, even though she only showers once a week to conserve water, she always looks completely put together and amazing, probably from all of those exercise classes.

So, even though you sort of hate this woman, you still kinda want to emulate her green creds. It’s not as if you want to give up your daily shower and build a wind farm in your backyard, but it would still be nice to go more organic. After all, organic is healthier and better for the environment: Studies show that an organic diet can shield children from exposure to pesticides and hormones; provide more nutrients; and contain more cancer-fighting antioxidants.

Luckily, there are a few simple ways to incorporate organic living into your lifestyle. From composting to grocery delivery, frozen organic foods to passing on chemical-laden cleaners, these tips can help you green up your lifestyle without breaking the bank or driving yourself -- and everyone around you -- nuts in the process.

You Are What You Eat

Though browsing at the farmer’s market is fun, it’s not always the most convenient way to do your shopping. For those days – or weeks – when you just don’t have a minute to spare, check out the frozen foods section in your local supermarket. As organic enters the mainstream, more companies are offering healthy – and budget-friendly – frozen foods.

The easiest option, though, is having organic foods brought to you. Some grocery delivery services now offer organic options, saving you both gas and time.

Home Grown

For a seasonal source of fresh fruits and veggies, start a garden in your yard or even in containers on your porch. Make it easy on yourself by:

Planting the garden where you can easily access it

Organizing all the tools and supplies you need in one convenient place

Spending a bit of money up front to create infrastructure that’ll keep your garden – and you -- happy

The Big C

Because you care about the environment, you probably already practice the three Rs – reduce, reuse, recycle – but what about the big C? That’s right, composting! Not only does is composting easy, it reduces the amount of trash you create and it helps your garden thrive, too. You’d be surprised at what you can compost; everything from tea bags and coffee grounds to shredded paper, dryer lint and kitchen waste is fair game.

Keep It Clean

An organic lifestyle is more than just food; the cleaners, pesticides and fertilizers you use around your home also matter. Many household chemicals are easy to replace with sustainable choices that work just as well. For instance, skip the store-bought weed killer and pour boiling water, white vinegar or rubbing alcohol on weeds. Instead of harsh bathroom cleaners, make a paste from baking soda and water. Skip the insecticides and kill bugs with a combination of Borax, sugar and water.

Going organic isn’t as difficult as you might think. A few simple changes make a big difference – and you don’t have to drive all the other parents in the playgroup crazy, either!

Buying organic baby food for your child can be tough. It seems like it should be an easy task, but marketers like to confuse moms with terms like “green” and “natural.” The packaging can also be a concern, because some baby food containers have BPA, which is poisonous. Consider all of these different points when buying baby food to ensure you are really getting high-quality, organic baby food.

What is Natural?
A lot of food producers like to use words like “natural” and “green,” but what does this mean for baby food? In the best case scenario, natural means that no or few pesticides were used on the produce that make up the baby food. However, this isn’t always the case. There is no legal definition for natural and green baby food, so this can just be used to lure in people that don’t know the different.

Overall, don’t get baby foods that just say natural.

Varying Levels of Organic Ingredients
When something says it is organic, most moms believe all of the ingredients are organic. But, it’s not that simple.

“Organic” means that the baby food is at least 95 percent organic. “Made with organic ingredients” means that about 70 percent of the ingredients are organic, which isn’t bad, but it isn’t the great. If the package says, “100 percent organic,” than all the ingredients must be legally organic.

Unless there is a medical reason to get 100 percent organic, you can stick to the regular organic moniker. The 100 percent variety is often harder to find, and you can hop from store to store trying to find baby food like this.

Organic Certifications
Another important aspect of buying organic baby food is to look for the certification. The majority of organic baby food manufacturers will include the USDA symbol on their product. However, there are many other certifications out there.

Some are more stringent that the USDA, while others are less stringent. If you see another certification, research the certification and see what it entails.

If you don’t see any certification, then this can be worrisome. They might have very low organic standards that are close to conventional produce, making them ineffective for your needs.

Country of Origin
Few people know this, but the country of origin is also very important. For example, the USDA will certify products from other countries as organic, if those countries follow the laws set on organic food in their own country. That may not sound bad, but it can be.

For example, the legal definition of organic food in some countries is very dismal, and it often the same or worse than conventional food in the USA. However, since this fits their legal parameters as organic food, the USDA will still certify it when it comes into America.

Ensure the baby food comes from America or Europe, as these areas tend to have the best organic standards.

Packaging
You are looking for organic baby food because you don’t want your child to get sick, so you don’t want to buy it from a package that can be full of poison. There are many organic baby food manufacturers that use BPA laden packaging, which is known as a poison and carcinogen.

BPA is primarily found in plastic jars and certain metal or plastic caps. Look for packaging that says it is BPA free. You often do not need to worry about this as much if you buy glass packaging, but it is still good to see this message.

The chance of BPA affecting your child gets worse if the baby food is past its expiration, so make sure that the food is still good before buying it.

Conclusion
While most of the world is leaning towards organic foods, there are still many businesses that use buzzwords and marketing terms to confuse moms and people who just don’t know better. When looking for organic baby food, make sure that it is really organic and free from BPA. Also, look for a certification and make sure that the country of original has a strong organic standard, like America or most countries in Europe.

Do this, and you should have no problem finding the best organic baby food for your child.

College offers plenty of opportunities to maintain your health, from healthy meal options in the dining hall to free gym access and an on-campus wellness center. After graduation, however, you're on your own in many ways. One of the most important things to focus on is staying healthy when you don't have the built-in support that was available during your college years. Here are a few things to consider after graduate to ensure your continued health.

Get Medical Care

As soon as you leave campus, you may not have health insurance anymore. Therefore, one of your first priorities should be to line up insurance that will cover you now that you've graduated. Although you may be able to stay on your parent's insurance plan, this assumes that you have a parent with a family policy through work. If not, you'll need to purchase insurance on your own. If you're just trying to fill a gap before your work coverage kicks in, consider short term medical insurance as an affordable option to keep you covered during that time.

Join a Gym

After graduation, you'll need to find a new place to work out. For most people, this means joining a gym that offers the types of equipment and classes you're looking for. In fact, signing up for classes at a gym is a great way to provide some accountability for your health. If you're on a tight budget or prefer to exercise at home or outdoors, there are other options as well. You could find a good running route near your home, get some exercise videos for at home workouts, or purchase a piece of used cardio equipment to make it easy to exercise whenever your schedule allows.

Develop Healthy Routines

Just having the infrastructure to exercise isn't always enough. Instead, you must create a healthy lifestyle that fits into your post-graduation routine. When you're working, developing new friendships and trying to stay on top of everything else that comes with being out of college, exercise can sometimes slip through the cracks. In addition to planning regular times to exercise, also try to avoid developing routines that may harm your health. For example, going out for drinks and bar food once each week should be fine, but it's not something you should do on a daily basis.

Eat a Balanced Diet

Speaking of food, you're going to have to learn how to eat a healthy, balanced diet when you're cooking for yourself. Frozen dinners and restaurant meals aren't going to cut it, so find some healthy meals that you enjoy eating and can easily prepare. Many types of frozen vegetables come in microwavable bags so you can steam them right in your microwave, and electric countertop grills are great for preparing lean meats. It's also helpful to have fresh fruit and vegetables on-hand for a healthy snack option.

There's a lot to consider during this transitional time, but taking care of your health after graduation is one of the building blocks for a successful life. You need to have the energy and stamina to do your job well, not to mention the mental and emotional benefits that come from staying healthy. Here's to your health!

- Water Solutions

If you don’t already use some sort of water filtration device, you may consider looking into the many options available. Finding a reliable water softener that doesn't use salt conditioners, as well as a filtration system, can help rid your water of unwanted chlorine and potential contaminants. As water is the essence of all life, especially our own, it’s important to make sure you’re drinking the very best.

Organic Bedding Featured on Pinterest

- Open the Windows

It may or may not come as a surprise to you that many of the things in your home, including furniture, carpets, and paints, may have been treated or made with pollutants or toxic elements. While they’re generally not usually immediately harmful, it’s wise to open your windows as much as possible and cycle in fresh, toxin-free air. This will help you feel better and reduce the risk of breathing in harmful chemicals.

- Better Light Bulbs

While CFLs are often marketed as green solutions for lighting, if they break they release mercury vapor, which is a very toxic substance. Handle these bulbs with care and make sure to clean any broken bulbs as quickly, carefully, and efficiently as possible. Using newer lighting designs like LEDs is a safe alternative that can also save you loads of money in the long run.

- Better Bedding

Many common fabrics used for sheets, like nylon and polyester, may contain questionable chemicals. It’s better to stick to organic materials like 100% cotton when choosing proper bedding/clothing materials. In this same vein, many mattresses these days are made with flame-retardant chemicals and often off-gas, which can cause potential health problems. When choosing a mattress for you or a baby, try to get one that doesn’t use these harmful chemicals, or allow them to air out with an open window after cleaning them or when changing sheets. This will allow them to off-gas without you reaping so many of the negative effects.

- Cooking Solutions

Trade out your Teflon pots or pans with cast iron ones. Teflon releases a number of potentially hazardous particles into the air, including carcinogens and other global pollutants. In extreme cases they can also release illness-inducing fumes into the air creating a threat to you and your family’s health.

In order to better contribute to a healthy environment, as well as a healthy family, one should research various avenues of healthy living and gain a combined force of knowledge to make appropriate decisions. These five simple tips are a great place to start, but the learning shouldn’t stop here.

Live healthy and enjoy.

Almost everyone does. Catching a cold or the flu can put you out of commission for days, maybe even longer. It’s unpleasant. The aches and pains and generally miserable feeling can leave you wishing for an instant cure. Although there’s no way to ensure you won’t get sick, there are ways to help you deal with the symptoms and affects of a cold or the flu. The following are a few natural cold and flu remedies....

Rest

Even though it sounds simple, one of the best ways to help alleviate the affects of a cold or the flu is to get plenty of rest. Because the illness taxes the body’s ability to fight off the disease, it needs your help and cooperation to perform efficiently. That means you should rest as much as possible and allow your body to direct its energy toward the cause of the discomfort. The more rest you get, especially when you first begin to feel the effects of a cold or the flu, the faster your recovery time will be.

Consume Hot Drinks

Drinking warm or hot liquids, especially certain kinds of tea, can help open up the nasal passages and allow you to breathe easier. Chamomile tea seems to be especially effective as well as other types of tea, such as goldenseal tea. Some say the main effect that hot drinks have on cold or flu symptoms is that the vapors from the warm liquid are what actually opens up the nasal passages--some people say that’s why chicken soup is recommended and seems to work.

Drink Plenty of Liquids

We’ve all heard the commercials that say drink plenty of liquids to help alleviate cold and flu symptoms. That’s an oft repeated phrase because it works. While your body tries to deal with the affects of a cold or the flu, it can become dehydrated. Drinking liquids will help replenish that fluid loss and help the body fight the disease. Although some liquids are better than others--orange juice is a good choice--simply drinking a lot of water can prove beneficial.

Vitamin C

Making sure the body has plenty of vitamin C can also help fight the affects of a cold or the flu. It will strengthen the body and thereby give it energy for the battle. Vitamin C is available in fruits and vegetables, such as oranges, kiwifruit, papaya, red bell peppers, guava, and broccoli. If you don’t have any of these immediately available you can get vitamin C supplemental tablets over-the-counter at most any store that sells vitamins.

Echinacea

Although it isn’t accepted by all facets of the medical community, Echinacea (a plant usually referred to as a purple coneflower) has its backers as a natural remedy for colds and the flu. Advocates of Echinacea as a medicine insist it helps the body’s immune system fight disease. Due to the fact that studies--especially the affects of long-term usage--are incomplete, using Echinacea should only be done under a doctor’s care.

Hot or Cold Packs

Applying hot or cold packs around your sinuses may help open them up. It really doesn’t matter whether the pack is cold or hot, the affect is the same. Moisten a wash cloth under a stream of cold water and place it along your sinuses, or warm the cloth in a microwave and do the same thing--make sure you test the temperature of the cloth before applying it so it won’t burn your skin.

Elevate Your Head

The object in fighting a cold or the flu is to keep the nasal passages open, thereby allowing the free flow of air so you can breathe more easily. Keeping your head elevated while you’re resting is one way to do that. Instead of using one pillow, try placing a second pillow under your head while you’re resting or trying to sleep. Since this is probably an unnatural position for you, adjusting the pillows to form a more natural slope will increase your comfort level.

Garlic

Although some people are put off simply by the smell, garlic is used by people in many different cultures as a form of medical treatment. They believe it contains antibacterial and antifungal agents that help alleviate the symptoms of a cold. Raw garlic is considered to be the most effective method of its use, but you can also buy garlic pills.

The key is to take the first step, and make a habit out of thinking green. If you want to start small, here are some things to try. The following are 8 ways to make your home greener and healthier....

1. Lighting

Using different types of lighting in your home can help you to save energy. Certain kinds of light bulbs use about 75% less electricity and are safer to operate because they don’t get as hot as regular bulbs. Using a dimmer switch can also help you to reduce the amount of energy that you are using to light your home. A dimmer allows you to choose how much light you want in the room--the lower you go the less energy you use. When you have a choice, you should always go with appliances that are energy efficient. Whether you are looking for a new refrigerator, or even a new toaster, look for that ENERGY STAR logo. Using less energy doesn’t just help your electricity bill, it means you are polluting less as well.

2. Water

Minimize the amount of water that you use. Try to reduce your shower time as much as possible; turn the sink off when you’re not using it; the basics. You can also go the extra mile and purchase more efficient fixtures. When you’re perusing the water fixture aisle, look for EPA WaterSense labeled products. On the health side of things, you may want to check up on your water. Consider calling your local municipality building for water tests. If you want to be extra safe, you can always buy a water filter to help keep your water clean.

3. Cleaning Products

One big step you can take to make you home greener and healthier is to start using healthier cleaning products. Cleaning products can be harmful to you and the planet as well. Try to find eco friendly alternatives to all of the products that you use. It’s also an option to make your own cleaning products. For example, you can use baking soda and a little water to make a paste for getting rid of bathtub rings, or removing marks from you walls. Making your own cleaning products will help you to reduce the amount of harmful chemicals in your home, as well as save some money.

4. Insulate

If your home is poorly insulated, you are wasting a lot of energy. Think of it as a glass with a hole in the bottom. When you put water into the glass, you are losing water as you are adding it. It’s the same with heating your home. If you have poor insulation, you are using more energy to heat your home than you need to. When you fill the hole in the glass you use less water, and when you better insulate your home, you won’t have to constantly heat your home; which will save you money and reduce the amount of pollution.

5. Recycle

There is much more to recycling than you might think. It isn’t just separating plastic, paper, and glass. If you really want to get into recycling, start buying things made of recycled material. Some water bottles, cookie boxes, or even paper are made from recycled materials. If you would like to go a step further, you can reuse Ziploc bags, stop using disposable razors, and find places to donate unwanted items. There are people out there that might need things you are thinking about throwing away.

6. Mold

Getting rid of mold, and preventing mold growth, will help your home to be healthier. It’s fairly easy to prevent mold. Really all you need to do is keep your home dry. Places like under your kitchen sink, your bathroom, and you basement are where mold grows the most. If you have a humid basement, you should get a dehumidifier to help prevent mold growth. When it comes to your bathroom, one of the main things for you to do is use the fan after you take a shower. The fan helps to remove moisture from the room--and mold loves moisture. If you don’t have a fan, consider opening a window. If you already have mold, you should avoid using mold killers or preventers with bleach or other harmful chemicals in them. Try making a homemade cleaner with white vinegar.

7. Plants

Having plants indoors is a fantastic idea. There have been studies that show plants don’t just put oxygen into the air, certain plants can actually rid the air of harmful pollutants. If you’re looking to add a few plants to improve the air quality of your home try English Ivy, the Spider plant, or even Gerbera daisies.

8. Carbon Monoxide Detectors

Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, toxic gas. It’s a very scary thing considering that it could kill you before you even know you have a problem. That’s why it is so important to have a carbon monoxide detector. There are many options available for you; they even make combination carbon monoxide and fire alarms. Using these items is one of the best things you can do to protect yourself and your family.

Wonderful sunshine, air and water keep us healthy and hearty. In our greed to have more of everything we’ve created an imbalance. To have more of vegetables and fruits and other necessary food stuff farmers use hormones to induce faster growth. Genetically engineered fruits and vegetables cause damage to the body over a period of time. Also using pesticides on the plants cause harmful chemicals to enter our body. Even beauty products are made with chemicals that can cause skin cancer and other skin diseases. Rashes, skin irritation leading to patches on skin are all results of harmful chemicals used in beauty products. In our urge to look young and beautiful we use harmful chemicals that can cause permanent damage to our skin and body. Under these circumstances it is better to use organic beauty products that will make you look young, beautiful and is also harmless to the skin.

Massage with Milk and Cream

It is better to massage your body and face with milk and fresh cream. Milk acts as a cleanser and removes the dirt and grime from the skin and makes it look fresh and radiant. Moreover it is harmless also as there is no artificial chemical added to it. If you don’t like the smell of milk add a few drops of Eau de cologne or rose water to it. The fragrance emanated will envelope you and make you feel good.

Mask yourself with Multani Mitti

Multani Mitti is a kind of mud that is similar to kaolin clay. It is used to remove acne and black heads from the face. It also helps to keep the skin cool and rid of pimples. Also known as Fuller’s Earth it has organic properties that can remove impurities from the skin. There are also organic beauty products made with sandal wood paste, turmeric and rose water mix, vitamin E oil based creams that can be used as face masks.

Sport Shimmering Skin

Why go in for body polish and skin peeling that is harmful for health? Using Vitamin E oil, Coconut oil, Olive oil, Bulgarian Rose Oil and Tea tree oil can help your skin to look radiant and glowing. These oils help to keep the skin rejuvenated and remove dead skin naturally leaving your face and body shining with vitality. There are also several herbs and shrubs that act as body cleansers.

Maintain your Mane

Seeds of Shikakai (Akasia Concinna) plants are powdered and used as shampoo. This is a 100% natural shampoo that helps the hair to be clean and soft. It has binding properties and acts as a good conditioner. A regular massage of your hair with any of the above mentioned oils and washed with shikakai powder gives bounce to your hair and makes it look resplendent and glowing.

Saffron, strawberry/apricot scrub, orange peel and Ginseng cream act as exfoliations as well as don’t contain harsh ingredients that irritate your skin. Instead of using artificial beauty products that can only harm you, go in for organic beauty products that will help you to look and feel beautiful as well as is safe!

Author Bio- Sandra Wade is a Wellness enthusiast who likes to share her views on organic beauty products, Native Remedies Coupons and Time to Spa coupons with fellow bloggers. Her passion for anything natural has led her to find organic products that are harmless to the body.

Even as the number of heroin rehab centers available for addicts increases, heroin addiction continues to be one of the deadliest addictions in the whole world. What makes heroin addiction so deadly for users? Not only is heroin dangerous because it is extremely addictive, but heroin users are also at risk for experiencing a heroin overdose, contracting HIV, AIDS, hepatitis and other diseases through sharing needles, as well as having severe health complications, including coma and death. After heroin is consumed, either by being injected or inhaled, it enters the brain and is turned into morphine. Heroin then binds to receptors in the brain and users will experience an euphoric rush. As heroin use continues, users will build a tolerance and require an increase needed in the amount of heroin to achieve the same effect; this increases the addiction strength and chances for overdose. An addiction to heroin also has life threatening effects on the user's body. These effects include, but are not limited to:

Arthritis

Constipation

Collapsed veins

Clogged blood vessels

Impaired mental function

Liver and/or kidney disease

Permanent damage to vital organs

Damages to the heart valves and lining

Respiratory complications, including pneumonia

Heroin Rehab Treatment is Lifesaving

Heroin withdrawal symptoms keep many addicts from successfully recovering from heroin addiction. Withdrawal symptoms can begin within a few hours of the last use and can last for a few months, depending on the the person and the severity of the addiction. Some of the withdrawal symptoms include, but are not limited to:

Anxiety

Insomnia

Diarrhea

Vomiting

Body aches

Cold flashes

Extreme tremors

Strong cravings for heroin

Not every person going through heroin withdrawal will experience the same symptoms, and in some cases, heroin withdrawal can even be fatal. This is why it is extremely important for anyone going through heroin addiction withdrawal to seek help at a professional heroin rehab treatment center. These centers have detox treatment options, that can help with the discomfort and difficulty of the withdrawal process. Options such as medically supervised detox, sauna, acupuncture therapy, exercise, and nutritional and vitamin therapy can all be used in helping one successfully withdrawal from any substances. It is important for addicts to choose a treatment program that will work best for them, because the road to recovery can be challenging; yet very rewarding.

Recovering From One of the World's Deadliest Addictions

Recreational heroin use can begin the dark path towards heroin addiction, because those using it do not understand how addictive it is. Before a heroin addict realizes he or she has an addiction, they will believe it is too late. The person will feel as if they need the drug to function in their day to day lives. Heroin will rob a person of their happiness, relationships, jobs, friends, peace and much more. Addicts will put their drug of choice before anything and everything and stop at nothing to get their next fix, even if it means stealing, neglecting their loved ones, selling their possessions, and even violent crime.

Many addicts will die at the hands of their addiction, and never get to enjoy the life they once knew. It is important for anyone battling addiction to know that there is always help and there is always hope. There are many rehab centers around the world that can help those in need, and the first step is finding the right one for you or your loved one.

For seniors, it is important to maintain your spiritual and emotional health while living in senior communities in order to live a healthy lifestyle and have an improved quality of life. Every day is precious and should be treated as much by caring for not only your body and physical health, but your emotional state and spiritual well-being as well. This can be achieved through a variety of sessions, treatments, classes and meditation techniques and you will feel the difference in your overall health as a result of it.

Attend Faith Based Services

Attend services at your senior community center that focus on your spirituality, whether that may be a church service for your religious beliefs, or meditation courses to expand your spirituality beliefs. Often times, senior communities offer church services in various religious beliefs such as Catholicism or Christianity. If it does not have church services, you can still expand your beliefs through a support group of like-minded people at the senior community. If your senior community does not offer classes in meditation, you can learn various methods by contacting a holistic practitioner or seeking advice from another resident at the community who has the same beliefs. You may be surprised by how many fellow residents of the community follow the same spiritual path that you do and would be interested in maintaining those beliefs together.

Relaxation Therapy and Techniques

Focus on your breathing and relaxation techniques through stretching exercises and breathing exercises that are specifically designed for seniors. Many senior communities offer exercise classes as one of their fitness activities, and yours might as well. Getting exercise is extremely beneficial to both your spiritual and emotional health by relaxing your mind, body and soul.

Spiritual Development Classes

Inquire about additional classes that focus on spirituality at your community center such as a stress-reduction class. Many of these classes use a variety of breathing, relaxation and meditation techniques to relax your inner core. Stress-reduction classes are typically focused on easing the mind of all of its stress, worries and anxiety and can help you self-manage many issues you may be facing while living at the senior community. With a healthy mind, your emotional state will be greatly improved and help you live a well-balanced and full life.

Get Referrals from Your Doctor

Seek help from the physicians at your senior living community center to maintain your emotional help. This may involve therapy sessions to get over any issues you are having emotionally or psychologically, or group sessions such as support groups. Support groups are often specific to different issues such as losing a loved one, dealing with a specific medical condition, or to support each other as you all improve your spirituality and emotional health together.

As of 2002, there were almost 120 cases per 100,000 men in the United States, and that number increases considerably when prostate enlargement is included. Aside from leading to life-threatening prostate cancer, prostate enlargement can cause every day disturbances in urination and sexual activity, causing considerable physical and emotional discomfort. Just because you’re 25 doesn’t mean it isn’t time to start thinking about your prostate health. The food and lifestyle choices you make today can protect you from this common disease. Below is a list of some measures you can take towards natural prostate care.

Diet

Though genetics play a major role in your likeliness of developing prostate problems, diet is also closely linked with prostate health. Since obesity increases the chances of prostate cancer by 50%, experts recommend adopting a heart-healthy diet, which includes:

Increasing organic fruits and vegetables

Vegetables support prostate health with high levels of inflammation-fighting antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, polyphenols, and fiber. According to The Prostate Health Program, developed by Daniel W. Nixon and Max Gomez, organic eating reduces exposure to cancer-causing pesticides and chemicals. Organic leafy greens (also known as cruciferous vegetables), such as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts have high percentages of cancer fighting fiber, and the lycopene in tomatoes is a powerful antioxidant.

Replacing animal protein with plant protein

Just like heart-healthy diets, red meat and animal fats are discouraged for prostate well-being. Healthy protein can be attained from a variety of delicious sources, including amaranth, beans, buckwheat, kamut, lentils, quinoa, split peas, tempeh, and seitan.

Eat whole foods

Stick to whole and natural grains that are high in fiber and have gone through minimal processing. Keep refined sugars and alcohol to a minimum.

Choosing omega-3 rich foods

Found in certain fish, such as anchovies, shrimp, salmon, oysters, tuna, herring, flounder, sole, mackerel, sardines, halibut, and trout, omega-3 rich foods effectively fight against prostate inflammation, as well as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, depression, joint pain, and fatigue.

Proper Hydration

Water assists in the natural elimination of toxins, especially from all the processed and inorganic foods that are typical of the American diet. The benefits of green tea come from catechins, which are antioxidants that destroy bacteria while supporting the immune system.

Exercise

Researchers have found a direct link between regular physical activity and good prostate health. While low-to-moderate activities, like walking or mowing the lawn, are beneficial, rigorous activity, such as jogging and strength training, are especially efficient. Strength-training should target hamstrings, glutes, quads, and calves for optimal prostate health (i.e. squats and lunges). Yoga can promote prostate health by firming deep pelvic muscles and encouraging circulation.

Supplements

Saw Palmetto has long been considered an alternative treatment for men with enlarged prostates, but its actual effectiveness is still being studied. Other natural supplements that have been linked to reducing prostate symptoms include vitamin d, vitamin e, zinc, fish oil, quercetin, rye grass pollen, stinging nettle root, and green tea extract.

Regular Exams

Prostate exams are recommended every few years for men in their twenties and thirties and annually for men over the age of forty. If prostate cancer is left untreated, it can lead to decreased urinary function, sexual dysfunction, and the spread of the cancer. Regular exams from your physician or urologist can prevent permanent prostate damage.

Whether it’s CrossFit, Pilates, The Bar Method, or MaxBody’s high-intensity Shaun T's Asylum workout, it would be a shame to put your hard work at the gym to waste by filling your body with unhealthy fuel. Think of it like this: your body is your Ferrari, are you really going to fill it with unleaded? Organic foods avoid synthetic pesticides, chemical fertilizers, genetic modification, irradiation, industrial solvents, added hormones, and chemical food additives. So if you’re devoting your precious time to improving your body through fitness, maybe it’s time to consider indulging in premium foods.

Organic Foods and Lean Muscle

Building lean muscle is nearly impossible when you’re feeding your muscles with hormones, pesticides, solvents, chemical additives and fertilizers. Because of their low vitamin and mineral contents, processed foods are not optimally processed by your body.

Many fitness buffs turn to whey protein, not only to build lean muscle, but for its many amazing health benefits, including weight loss management, improving brain function, boosting the immune system and preventing cancer. Organic whey (made from the milk of grass-fed cows) offers all the advantages of regular whey protein, while eliminating the nasty stuff that doesn’t get absorbed as easily. Organic whey is kinder to your digestive track, leaving you less bloated and tired, as a result.

The Paleo Diet

The Paleolithic Diet, or Paleo for short, is the new smart diet, encouraging a primitive style of eating. In order to mimic our primal ancestors, the nutritional plan supports the consumption of unprocessed vegetables, fruits, roots, nuts, fish, and grass-fed pasture raised meats, and eliminates grains, legumes, dairy, refined sugar, salt, and processed oils. Paleo encourages its practitioners to shop the perimeter of the grocery store, avoiding anything packaged, and anything that has a shelf-life.

The Paleo Diet is aimed towards those engaging in high levels of fitness, as ancestral humans were in peak shape, considering the amount of hunting, gathering, and general surviving they faced each day. With the elimination of processed and inorganic foods, the Paleo Diet aims to speed up your muscle definition and fat loss, while making you faster and stronger. Paleo followers claim break-throughs in their fitness levels as a result of the diet.

Organic Foods on a Budget

When you already feel like you’re spending a fortune on your gym membership, exercise tapes, specialty sneakers and ergonomic sportswear, going organic may seem like the straw that will break your bank account’s back. Fortunately, you don’t have to commit to a 100% organic lifestyle to reap the benefits of healthy eating, simply commit to a few key organic items. The general rule of thumb is: if you’re going to eat the skin, go organic. If you plan on peeling the skin, save your cash. You’ll already be stripping away the bulk of unhealthy chemical residues.

Consider spending more on organic when buying produce, nut butters and (surprisingly) microwaveable popcorn. Save your money on milk, chicken, fish, olive oil, and yogurt, as their non-organic forms generally contain less harmful residues.

Don’t sacrifice all your hard work at the gym with unhealthy eating habits. If you’re already committed to a healthier lifestyle, it should feel natural incorporating these natural foods into your diet. Your body and mind will thank you for it.

When I had viral fever I took antibiotics to get rid of the infection. But it lead to itchiness and redness in my private body parts leading to yeast infection. Yeast Infection cannot be attributed to one single factor but it is generally triggered by several internal factors, external factors, and combination of both as well. One of the reasons for having Candida symptoms or yeast infection is the use of antibiotics. This is due to the fact that while killing the bacteria for which you’re taking the antibiotic it also kills more than that. Due to this there is an imbalance of micro-organism that allows the yeast infection to grow. Yeast infection thrives in moist areas of the body and itching is the first symptom for Candida. The answer to balance what the antibiotics have done is to take probiotics.

Where does Candida occur?

There are several reasons for getting Candida or yeast infection. They generally occur in moist and dark places of the human body. Typically it occurs in the

* private areas,

* groin

* arm pits,

* between toes and fingers,

* under the breasts

* and lining of the mouth.

Yeast Infection of the private areas, one of the commonest forms of yeast Infection is basically an internal condition triggered by more than one factor and hence very difficult to handle. Private area Yeast Infection maybe treated with antifungal medications applied in and around the private area or medications taken orally. At times mixed infections of more than one microbe require combination of treatments. It is best to discuss your symptoms with your health professional before use of non-prescribed medication as there is always a risk that your symptoms maybe the cause of another private area infection say STD which requires different treatment.

Candida symptoms

* Itchiness

* Rashes

* Pain

* Uncomfortable sensation

* Stickiness

* Craving for sugary food

Candida symptoms should not be ignored. There are several over the counter medication and creams that will help to get rid of yeast infection temporarily. But these are not permanent solutions. It may reoccur. The best way to get rid of Candida is to go for holistic treatment. This will not have any side effects and is safe.

Candida Treatment

Instead of taking pills and capsules it is best to take fresh foods that are rich in probiotics that kill the infection.

I took yoghurt which is a universal cure for Candida. The ‘good bacteria’ present in yoghurt help to repopulate friendly bacteria in the body. In turn it kills the infection. Here is how you can take it.

Take a cup of yoghurt first thing in the morning on empty stomach. The good bacteria work well and give maximum effect if taken this way. Also avoid taking anything else for 30 minutes after taking yoghurt. It is believed that the probiotics contained in the yoghurt helps to rejuvenate the skin also.

Garlic is another food that can help to guard against Candida. Allicin that is contained in garlic prevents yeast infection. You can take three or four pearls of garlic raw and chew it or take it with milk. Adding garlic to your diet is good for the heart and prevents acidity also.

Eating salads made of fresh fruits and vegetables will help to prevent Candida. Nuts and seeds, legumes, beans, Herbal tea, green tea, lemon water and gluten free grains and pastas are best suited as Candida free diet. Ask the dietician before you take diets like weight watchers deals, so that you get a Candida free diet.

Wear cotton clothes especially under wears. Lose clothes and cotton clothes will help the air to circulate and keep the body parts dry and moist free. This helps to a major extent in preventing yeast infection.

Also alternative medicine, Homeopathy which is popular in Asia/ India has permanent cure for yeast infection/ Candida. There are no side effects for Homeopathy medicines. These are sugar granules soaked in medicines and are easy to take.

Instead of spending time and money on visiting doctors and still not getting cured it is better to go in for a holistic cure for yeast infection. A few lifestyle changes and additions and deductions to your daily diet can help to get rid of Candida in a major way. Instead of drugging yourself go for holistic approach and see yourself cured in the most natural way; after all nature has showered her boundless bounties on us. Let’s make use of it to get rid of this dreaded infection.

He also makes available Bistro md offer code on his website for diet and fitness enthusiasts. Well, almost. Has anyone ever really tried to understand what organic means? The simple answer to it is that which is naturally grown without using any inducers is Organic. Nowadays plants and vegetables are genetically engineered and given hormonal injections to accelerate their growth. Due to this the vegetables grow faster and the yield from the plant is also more. But the soil as well as the plant lose its nutrients and are not usable for the next growth cycle. Moreover the artificially grown vegetables and fruits lose natural nutrients and are also poor in taste. Though they look attractive and their colors are appealing to the eyes, eating these artificially pumped with hormone veggies and fruits make us humans obese and we get all sorts of diseases. The recent epidemic of bird flu is an example.

Be Natural

More and more people are going the natural way. Growing your own vegetables with manure made of cow dung and tea leaves will aid in growing natural vegetables and fruits. Organic manure can be made with dried leaves, cow dung, vegetable and fruits peel and used tea leaves and etc. In fact you can also make manure through vermiculture. This is good organic manure that will help the plants to grow well. If you’ve a backyard, grow vegetables in it. Many people go to a gym to work out or use products like Flex Belt and TRX training to lose weight. The effort you put to till the soil and plant the veggies will be a good form of exercise to lose weight. It is interesting to note that farmers who work in the farm are less prone to diabetes. Growing your own herbs and shrubs to add in your diet can make your meal well flavored as well as give you a feel of accomplishment. Besides physical exercise, growing organic vegetable on your own can help you mentally as well.

Helps to keep depression at bay

Gardening helps to get rid of depression too. The weeding helps to weed out negative thoughts from your mind; the sowing and seeing the plant grow helps to keep your mind fresh and active. Watering plants daily nurtures positive thoughts and tending to plants is an amazing way to keep stress and tension at bay.

The physical exercise of growing your own fruits and vegetables in your garden will be a good work out as well as help you to maintain a sickness free life. Some of the easily grown vegetables are tomatoes, lettuce, broccoli, cabbage, spinach and herbs like holy basil, mustard, mint and cilantro.

Advantages of organic diet

Apart from cooked food, the most nutritious, tasty and wholesome food is salads. You save on fuel too. A dash of lemon juice replaces salt in your salads and balances your blood pressure and supplies the needed calcium too. Organic beans and chick pea are high in protein and a flavored sauce made of home grown tomatoes dried in sun is an ideal base for the organic chick pea. Garnish it with mint leaves and cilantro and you’ll see happy faces at the dinner table.

Rather than focusing on natural ways to keep our skin healthy, we’re encouraged to cover up blemishes and use make-up to give our faces that airbrushed look. But the secret to a soft and flawless epidermis comes at a much lower price than you may think. The following are six important steps you should be taking to organically look after the skin you’re in.

Healthy Eating

A healthy diet is vital to any beauty regime. What we put into our bodies will inevitably show up on the outside, be it sooner or later. Avoid foods and drinks which contain nasty chemicals, as they are harmful to every part of our bodies, not just the skin.

A regular intake of vitamins is particularly important if you want luscious-looking skin.

Vitamin A helps repair body tissue and postpones signs of aging, and can be found in milk, cheese, eggs, butter, spinach, broccoli, carrot and fish oils.

Vitamin B improves circulation and skin colour. It is found in yoghurt, brown bread, wheat germ, yeast, cereal and green leafy vegetables.

Vitamin C helps to maintain collagen levels and is found in citrus fruits, strawberries, blackcurrants, potatoes, cabbage, broccoli and brussel sprouts.

H2O

Water is our life force. It has been found that proper hydration can cure or ease a whole host of illnesses and afflictions, from diabetes to back problems.

Sufficient water intake is also vital if we want to maintain healthy skin. It flushes toxins from our bodies so that they don’t have to escape via our skin. Make sure to drink plenty of water throughout each day. If you’re able to filter your water that’s even better, as our water system contains a range of unsavoury additives.

Cigarettes and Alcohol?

This will come as no surprise, but smoking and drinking alcohol will not do your complexion any favours. Smoking restricts the blood vessels; reducing the amount of blood flowing to the skin, therefore depleting the skin of oxygen and essential nutrients. And alcohol dehydrates the skin.

If you really can’t bear to go without, choose organic beers and wines. Or you could even look into making your own, so that you determine exactly what goes into it. If you’re not ready to give up smoking, try rolling your own cigarettes with a purer tobacco that does not contain the chemicals used in pre-made brands.

Exfoliate and Moisturise

Exfoliating the skin helps to remove dead skin cells. It also helps to improve circulation, bringing higher oxygen levels to the skin and muscles.

Try using a natural loofah while you’re in the shower, and then afterwards, when you’re dry, use a bath brush to gently brush the skin from toe to top, remembering to always use upward strokes, towards the heart.

You can also make your own exfoliating cleanser by mixing salt with some olive oil. Scrub your body with this, using gentle, circular motions, and then rinse off. The salt will act as the exfoliator and the olive oil will moisturise your skin at the same time.

For a natural face mask, mix 1 avocado with 3 – 4 drops of almond oil. Peel and mash the avocado and then add the almond oil, mixing well to create a pleasant consistency. Then apply to the face using a massaging motion. Leave for 30 minutes before washing off with warm water.

Sleep

It’s true; we really do all need our beauty sleep. During the night our skin is rested and restored from the harmful effects of daily stresses and strains. Without enough sleep our skin may lose its luminosity. It is recommended that we should aim to get about 8 hours sleep per night, however for many 6 or 7 hours is just fine.

TLC

So really the true secret to healthy skin is to take good care of it. Truly radiant skin simply requires some tender loving care. Avoid staying in the sun for long periods of time. Try to keep your face relaxed so as to not create wrinkles through frowning or tension. And remember that your skin will reflect the quality of what you fuel your body with. Inner health will glow through the surface.

Being active through exercise and other forms of activity help keep our bodies strong, fit and resistant to disease. Along with physical activity, a person must eat healthy and wise. Organic foods are one of the best ways to ensure high quality food with many nutrients, and little additives. Recent studies show that processed foods high in preservatives and other chemicals are dangerous to our health. Rates regarding cancer, obesity and even mental disorders have all been linked to poor quality foods. One of the best things a person can do is eat high quality organic food. This includes free range meats with no antibiotics, that are fed a natural diet. Also necessary are fruits and vegetables high in vitamins and minerals that have not been treated with insecticides.

Choose Organic Foods for Health

Active Lifestyles Improve All Aspects of Life

While being able to run a marathon is great, it isn't a requirement for being fit. Being fit means that a body is healthy, doesn't carry too much excess weight and is capable of completing moderately intensive activity. To achieve this, a person needs to make an effort to move around. Go outside for a walk, take the stairs, hike, bike, clean the house or anything that will keep the body active.

Benefits of a Healthy Lifestyle

Not only will a person feel great for staying in shape and eating right, there are many socioeconomic benefits. Healthy people are less likely to be injured, are better at making and maintaining long lasting relationships and often get better health insurance rates. Health insurance for individuals is based on many different factors, but lifestyle is one of the most important. The more green living one does, the lower their insurance rate should be.

Maintain Constant Awareness

Sometimes, the ingredients in our food can be misleading. Something as benign sounding as "natural flavors" may actual be mostly MSG, an excitotoxin. Individuals should also be aware of pollutants in their environment. Avoid second hand smoke, vehicle exhausts and smog. By excluding as many toxins from our lives as possible, our chances of achieving optimal health increase significantly.

Insurance companies look at a variety of factors when determining an individual's rates. Since lifestyle is usually the most important, being fit and healthy will go a long way in keeping rates low. Not only does this allow for affordable medical insurance rates, it reduces the need to use the policy. Through healthy living and preventative check ups, a person greatly enhances their potential longevity. It's easy to start being green by initially making small choices that eventually become a lifestyle.

This medical condition is signified by the growth of organisms known as Candida albicans in the intestinal system of the affected person. The microorganism releases toxins into the host body and causes a person to fall ill. With the help of Candida diet some of the foods or ingredients that can help the sustenance of this organism are eliminated. When growth and multiplication of candida albicans is stopped by constraining yourself from certain types of foods and drinks you can quickly take on the path of recovery.

As all types of sugar are eliminated as a part of Candida diet, thus it is difficult to figure out what to drink. Most people are prone to drinking soda, ice tea, fruit juice and other sugary drinks. It is difficult for the Candida affected people to give up these drinks. Most of you might be left dismayed to find that light soda or fruit juice which was an essential part of their diet cannot be gulped any longer as they contain artificial sweeteners. Artificial sweeteners such as sucralose and aspartame feed the Candida organisms in the same manner as regular sugar. Though old habits die hard but it is essential to know beverages that are okay to drink and others that should be eradicated.

Water is the best drink for Candida diet. The human body is made of 70% water and it is a vital component for all the organs. Proper intake of water keeps the body healthy and all the organs in optimal state. When proper volumes of water are not taken it can lead to fatigue, headaches, constipation, weakness, nausea, etc. Properly hydrated body can overcome Candida as it flushes out the toxins from your body. Candida diet does not suggest drinking tap water as it may contain certain toxins. Rather drink filtered water or purified water.

Herbal tea or Green tea is another great drinking option for the Candida patients. Most diet plans bar tea and coffee consumption as coffee contains caffeine and tea leaves lead to mold contamination. However, green tea is the best choice as it provides anti oxidants to the body that protect against radical damage. Herbal tea has many medicinal benefits that help the Candida patients.

Other types of drinks that can be taken by the Candida sufferers includes lapacho tea, coconut water, kombucha and moderate amounts of wine.

Approximately 45% of normal adults snore, but that doesn’t stop most people from poking fun at a loud snorer. Snoring can even affect your relationship with your significant other. If one of you snores, it’s almost a guarantee that the snorer will wake the other up once in a while. Fortunately, there’s hope. If you have a serious snoring problem, you don’t have to endure harsh treatments, or take medicine to solve it. There are plenty of organic remedies for snoring that you can try before ever even talking to a doctor.

The first thing anyone with a chronic snoring problem should try is changing their sleeping position. If you fall asleep on your back, the back of your tongue and your soft palate will sag back toward your throat, resulting in loud (or at least louder) snoring. Changing sleeping positions isn’t as easy as it sounds, but with a little help, you can do it. Try using a body pillow to keep you on your side. The additional support it offers should make it easy. Some people have also had success by taping tennis balls to their pajamas just behind the knees. It might sound strange, but it definitely helps.

In addition to changing your sleeping position, you’ll also want to look at your sleeping habits. If, for example, you work long hours on little sleep, when your head finally hits the pillow, you’ll crash into a deep sleep. In this state, the resting tone of the muscles in the back of your throat changes, allowing them to move in a manner that will cause you to snore. If you’re in a situation where you’re stuck working long hours, try to eliminate as many tasks that will force you to get up early or stay up late as you can. If you get enough rest to match your lifestyle, you won’t find yourself snoring nearly as often.

Whenever you’re sick, the doctor will always tell you to drink plenty of fluids. That’s also true if you’re a heavy snorer. If you become dehydrated, the secretions in both your soft palate and your nose will become thick, and sticky. As a result, you’ll begin to snore, or if you’re already a snorer, you’ll begin to snore louder.

Allergens in your bedroom can also contribute to a snoring habit. Try dusting your ceiling fan, and replacing your pillows. Allergens can get caught in your pillows, and make their way into your nose and mouth as you sleep, causing an allergic reaction that can lead to increased snoring.

By using these organic remedies for snoring, you’ll be able to cut down on your snoring, if not get rid of it entirely. If these methods fail, you may want to consult a doctor, but there’s a good chance that one of these remedies will solve your problem, and help give you and your significant other a good night’s sleep.

Andreas Henderson, MR, published author and medical researcher has spent many years supporting people finding the best snoring cures.

As reports trickled in, parents continued to be pressured to vaccinate their children: to do otherwise meant the possibility of a parental inquisition and the risk of their child being disallowed an education. Some parents braved the school district head-on and won their battle to protect their child through a doctor’s waiver, or were granted absolution through religious beliefs. But the outcome of battling school districts is a crapshoot, as the rules vary from state to state.

A New Threat

It appears there is another threat afloat that has gained the attention of the nation. Gardasil, a vaccine made by the pharmaceutical giant, Merck & Co that was developed to combat the papilloma virus (HPV), a sexually transmitted disease that has been linked to cervical cancer.

Merck has admitted to the pre-licensure trial of only 1,200 girls under the age of 16. Yet, the CDC recommends this inoculation for girls between the ages of 9 to 26 years. Additionally, Merck’s Gardasil studies did not include side effects of taking multiple vaccines in conjunction with Gardasil.

Upon the release of Gardasil in 2006, Vaccine Safety Group began to receive alarming reports related to the vaccine titled Gardasil Reaction Report that contains indicators that warrant close parental scrutiny. The information shared by Vaccine Safety Group notes the following negative reactions tied to the Gardasil vaccination: fainting, tingling and loss of sensation in the fingers and limbs, seizures, facial paralysis and Gullian-Barre Syndrome (a disorder in which the body’s immune system attacks part of the peripheral nervous system).

In 2007, Texas Governor Rick Perry, unwilling to wait for Gardasil to be included to the list of state-mandated vaccines, lead the rush to mandate the Gardasil vaccine to be administered to sixth-grade girls in a three-shot series at a cost of $120 per vaccine. Perry’s mandate led to public outcry angered by the promotion of promiscuity and state intrusion into what they believed should remain a private parental decision.

With CDC endorsement that young girls receive the Gardasil vaccination, several states began taking steps to add the vaccine to its mandated list of inoculations, but the mandate was voted down by concerned citizens.

A Doctor & A Former Gardasil Spokesperson’s Warnings

On August 29, 2009, CBS investigative news reported warnings from a Gardasil spokesperson, Dr. Diane Harper, who stated parents of young girls should receive complete warnings about the vaccine from Merck. Dr. Harper went on to say that there were 3.4 out of every 100,000 doses distributed: the same rate as the death rate of cervical cancer. Dr. Harper has since joined the growing numbers of watchdogs warning parents of Gardasil’s potential harmful effects.

Joining Dr. Harper’s warnings, Dr. Scott Ratner and his wife spoke about their teenage daughter’s struggle after she became severely ill with autoimmune myofascitis following her first dose of the Gardasil vaccine. Their daughter is now dependant upon steroids to combat the autoimmune disease they are convinced is linked to Gardasil.

In 2009, ABC News released an alarming investigative report about the deaths of 32 young females that were suspected to be linked to the Gardasil vaccine. In the report, doctors questioned over the possible negative side effects of the Gardasil vaccine were a mixed bag with some stating they were concerned over the statistics surrounding Gardasil, while others went on record as being satisfied that the vaccine did not appear to hold any more alarming side effects than other vaccines.

Boys Are Next

On October 25, 2011, CNN announced that the federal advisory committee voted to include males as young as 9 years old to receive the Gardasil Vaccine. The committee states Gardasil will combat the papilloma virus, said to lead to cancers in males, and to protect females from the virus which is sexually transmitted. The initial report by CNN was followed up by Elizabeth Cohn, CNN’s senior medical correspondent who assured the viewers that physicians were not concerned about any side effects of the Gardasil vaccine. Later in the day, Cohn reported the CDC recommends, but does not mandate, inoculations. Rather, the decision to mandate inoculation is left up to individual states to determine.

Real Life Gardasil Nightmares

Over the few short years since initial reports began to be reported on the Gardasil vaccine, additional adverse reactions have been reported such as paralysis, blindness, pancreatitis, speech problems, blood clots, short-term memory loss and ALS.

In total, there were 26 deaths of young girls who had received the Gardasil vaccine between September 1, 2010 and September 15, 2011.

Even then, the Center for Disease Control’s formal statement regarding the negative effects of the Gardasil vaccine is as follows: “There is no unusual pattern or clustering to the deaths that would suggest that they were caused by the vaccine.”

Yet, side effects being reported shortly after inculcation to otherwise healthy young girls are frightening similar, and these adverse reactions are being experienced by girls as young as 11 years old.

Sample Cases Reported to the FDA

After a second Gardasil vaccine on September, 26 2007, a 15-year old female experienced a headache thirty minutes following the inoculation. The following day, the girl’s mother received a call from the school nurse that her daughter was suffering tingling in both hands. The 15-year old was again sent to the nurses office following what was described a s a shaking sensation over her body. That evening, the girl suffered pain and burning in her back. Her parents brought her to the emergency room, where she collapsed. The 15-year old suffered paralysis and remained in the hospital for two months. A report of the incident was sent to the FDA by the girl’s physician.

When visiting her family, a healthy 18-year old college freshman complained of feeling ill. Within two days, she was rushed to the emergency room and diagnosed with meningococcal disease of the brain and subsequently died that evening. The otherwise healthy young woman had received the Gardasil vaccine on May 10, 2007 and died on October 7, 2007 from complications of meningitis.

The following abbreviated report was sent to the FDA by the mother of a healthy 14-year old girl who received three Gardasil vaccinations on August 2007, June 2008, and June 2008. The adverse reactions she experienced were as follows: numbness and tingling in the fingers and toes, difficulty with falling asleep, urinary tract infections, ovarian cyst, moodiness, trouble getting out of bed and seizures.

Following her third shot, the girl suffered a reported 150 seizures, at which time she would stop breathing for 30 to 40 seconds. Eventually, the 15-year old was diagnosed with Neurocardiogenic syndrome and seizures. Upon her death, it was reported that her death was the result of an ovarian cyst. A reporter who followed up on the tragedy believed the information and medical records pointed to the Gardasil vaccination as the cause of the 14-year olds death. .

Reports also suggested a high rate of miscarriages for pregnant females who take the Gardasil vaccination. Reported by Dr. Akilah El of the Celestial Healing Wellness Center reports, a breastfeeding mother whose infant child died the day after having been breast fed by a mother who had taken the Gardasil vaccine:

Don’t Expect Your Day in Court

It behooves us to practice due diligence with regards to any vaccines, especially when they are being administered to children whose innocence may be threatened with an adverse reaction to the many “mandated” inoculations routinely given to children today.

When adverse reactions are egregious enough to require medical procedures or hospitalization, the news grows just as offensive as the vaccine. Nearly 25 years ago, the U.S. Congress passed the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act, exempting the vaccine manufacturer from the courts. Now, should you have a legitimate claim of vaccine injury, the case must be heard in a “Vaccine Liability Court”, which is centered on tort law (violating the Constitutional process). The outcome usually goes against the complainant.

In essence, big pharma is shielded and reads a lot like appealing a determination from the IRS by requesting a court date at which time you plead your case in front of an IRS court judge.

It’s worth noting that we, the consumers, pay for the Vaccine Liability Court with a surcharge that is attached to medications, which in turn, is used for big pharma to pay the IRS. I could be wrong, in fact I could be one of those delusional conspiracy nuts, but even so, it all seems to come full circle.
