Though meat is an excellent source of protein and contains fewer amounts of carbohydrates, there are certain types of meat which contain a large amount of carbohydrates. Meats such as breaded meats and those that come with meat sauces are high in carbs. Similarly processed meats such as hot dogs and bacon contain more carbs than desired and hence should be consumed occasionally.
