If you snore, even if it’s just occasionally, you’re not alone. Approximately 45% of normal adults snore, but that doesn’t stop most people from poking fun at a loud snorer. Snoring can even affect your relationship with your significant other. If one of you snores, it’s almost a guarantee that the snorer will wake the other up once in a while. Fortunately, there’s hope. The first thing anyone with a chronic snoring problem should try is changing their sleeping position. If you fall asleep on your back, the back of your tongue and your soft palate will sag back toward your throat, resulting in loud (or at least louder) snoring. Changing sleeping positions isn’t as easy as it sounds, but with a little help, you can do it. Try using a body pillow to keep you on your side. The additional support it offers should make it easy. Some people have also had success by taping tennis balls to their pajamas just behind the knees. It might sound strange, but it definitely helps.
